Every year, more than 6 million stray and abandoned cats, dogs, and other animal companions enter animal shelters.

1.5 million animals are euthanized in overcrowded shelters

in the United States each year. 

The most important thing we can do to keep cats and dogs out of shelters is to curb their overpopulation through safe and effective sterilization.

The Tarshis Foundation funds organizations that provide free and low cost spay neuter options to their local communities.
