In 2018, The Tarshis Foundation established a research lab to conduct basic science with the aim of improving the lives of animals and eliminating animal overpopulation.
The lab focuses on two core areas of research:
the creation of innovative vegan foods
and non-surgical sterilization for companion animals.

The Tarshis Foundation is proud to support Mozza Foods Inc.in the creation of a plant-based, gluten-free and hormone-free dairy cheese that's made from the same proteins found in cow's milk, but produced in plants.
Because it will be real dairy cheese, it'll melt like real dairy cheese, stretch like it and taste as delicious.
ALIGNED WITH ALTRUGENE
The Tarshis Foundation is excited to be supporting Altrugene in its efforts to develop cost effective single dose immunocontraceptives for wild animal populations.
Current efforts involve the identification of targeted
species-specific viral vectors that could be used to distribute future contraceptive therapeutics to wild animal populations in a safe and controlled manner.
