ANIMAL WELFARE THROUGH SCIENCE

FINDING SOLUTIONS

In 2018, The Tarshis Foundation established a research lab to conduct basic science with the aim of improving the lives of animals and eliminating animal overpopulation.

The lab focuses on two core areas of research:

the creation of innovative alternatives to animal based foods

and non-surgical sterilization for wild, feral, and companion animals.

OF MOZZA FOODS

ALIGNED IN MISSION

The Tarshis Foundation is proud to support Mozza Foods Inc. in the creation of a plant-derived, gluten-free and hormone-free dairy cheese that's made from the same proteins found in cow's milk, but produced in plants.

Because it will be real dairy cheese, it will melt like real dairy cheese, stretch like it and taste as delicious.

DEVELOPING
NON-SURGICAL STERILIZATION SOLUTIONS

The Tarshis Foundation is working to develop cost-effective single dose immunocontraceptives for wild animal and companion animal populations.

Current efforts involve the development of targeted species-specific vaccines that could be used to distribute contraceptive therapeutics to animal populations in a safe and controlled manner.
